FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Championship-proven Performance
The basic factors that make the KX250 engine a class leader—finger-follower valve actuation, downdraft intake, and dual injectors—are complemented by a revised intake and exhaust layout and a single-shaft primary balancer, resulting in an overall more powerful package with improved control, better able to compete for race results.

FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Symmetrically aligned intake and exhaust ports deliver strong and smooth low-end torque characteristics. A redesigned intake offers a straighter route for the air-fuel mixture to enter the cylinder, while a centrally positioned exhaust port aligns with the intake port for high airflow efficiency—both contributing to improved performance. An optimized downdraft intake also enhances low-end performance.

FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
The single-shaft primary balancer contributes to smoother power delivery and reduced vibration, improving handling, especially when exiting corners at slower speeds.

FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Complementing significantly increased low-end torque and smoother power delivery, throttle response is more linear, delivering lag-free power proportional to throttle grip twist. This significantly simplifies handling, enabling smooth acceleration on challenging surfaces or low traction, helping riders push their limits with more confidence, and reducing rider fatigue so they can more easily maintain speed during races.

FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Being able to restart an engine quickly during a race can mean the difference between maintaining a lead or having to fight back. Electric starting makes restarting an engine as easy as pressing a button.

FACTORY-STYLE ENGINE COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Light & Responsive
Compared to conventional clutches, hydraulic clutches offer a more direct feel and lighter lever action. Less clutch play due to clutch heating under heavy use results in a more consistent feel.
The use of a conical disc spring contributes to a lighter clutch actuation when the lever is pulled in, and a wider clutch engagement range, making it easier to control (especially when half-clutch).

FACTORY-STYLE CHASSIS COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Light and Agile
The new KX250 frame is based on the 2024 KX450, and updates for 2025 to accommodate new intake and exhaust layouts help deliver improved handling. Smooth bodywork is designed to facilitate rider movement and control, and finely tuned suspension and braking components further contribute to the KX250’s light and agile handling. ODI Lock-On grips and quick-release side covers add convenience.
FACTORY-STYLE CHASSIS COMPONENTS AND TUNING
The redesigned frame based on the 2024 KX450 accommodates updates to the engine’s intake and exhaust systems, while delivering a high level of light, agile handling and a composed character. An optimized stiffness balance contributes to improved front-end feel, which translates to improved cornering performance in a variety of conditions.

FACTORY-STYLE CHASSIS COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Already renowned for its sleek ergonomics, the KX250 receives a redesigned bodywork that offers a smoother rider interface. The newly designed shrouds, side covers, and rear fender are more rigid and eliminate hook points, further facilitating rider movement.

A choice of four handlebar positions and two footpeg positions allows riders to customize their riding position to suit their body size and preferences. The factory-style ø28.6 mm (1-1/8″) Renthal aluminum fat bar helps reduce vibration and shock transmitted to the rider, while the lower, closer grip position helps put the rider in a position that makes it easier to put weight on the front wheel.

The left side cover can be removed without tools, allowing easier access to the air filter element. The element is now secured with a quick-release latch (previously a wing bolt), making air filter replacement a simpler task.

ADVANCED TECH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Power Modes, Kawasaki Traction Control, and Launch Control Mode Accessed from the Left Handle Switches
Complementing the updated Launch Control Mode, the new KX250 offers a choice of Power Mode and Kawasaki Traction Control at the touch of a button. And with smartphone connectivity, riders can adjust engine maps directly from their smartphones.

ADVANCED TECH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
The Power Mode selector replaces the DFI coupler used on previous models. Using the Mode (M) button on the left handlebar, riders can quickly and easily switch between the two engine maps (Normal, Aggressive) available in the ECU.

ADVANCED TECH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Using the Traction button (T) on the left handlebar, riders can quickly and easily select between two levels of traction control (Low, Strong) to suit conditions and preferences. Riders can also choose to turn the system off.

ADVANCED TECH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
The factory-style launch control system increases the chances of getting a good start by helping riders maximize traction when starting on low-traction surfaces.

ADVANCED TECH AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
Using the “RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX” smartphone app, riders can access and adjust their bike’s engine map. The functionality (adjusting fuel and ignition timing) is similar to that offered by the KX FI Calibration Kit accessory used on previous models. Maintenance and setup logs are also available.
RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX is not intended for use during vehicle operation. Only use RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX when the vehicle is not being operated and it is safe to do so.
