KX ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Powerful, High-Revving Engine
One of the KX250’s greatest strengths is its engine, and that performance is available in the KX250X. In addition to the fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke Single 249cc engine, the KX250X also shares the electric start, hydraulic clutch, and multi-map programmable racing ECU from the high-performance motocrosser.

KX ENGINE PERFORMANCE
The KX250’s powerful 249cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, four-stroke single features finger-follower valve actuation, dual injectors, and downdraft-style features to deliver hard-hitting performance complemented by a strong mid-to-low range. An engine map optimized for cross-country terrain delivers a wide, usable power spread and facilitates precise throttle control. Utilizing the same updates to the intake valves, intake manifold, exhaust, and gearing as the 2023 KX250 motocross engine, stronger performance across the rev range results in faster lap times and improved holeshot performance.

KX ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Being able to restart the engine quickly during a race can mean the difference between maintaining your performance or struggling to get back through the pack. Electric start makes it easy to restart the engine with the push of a button.

KX ENGINE PERFORMANCE
The hydraulic clutch offers a more direct feel and lighter lever action. Adjustment is simplified as the clutch warms up during heavy use, resulting in a more consistent feel. The use of a conical disc spring contributes to a lighter clutch actuation when the lever is fully engaged, and a wider clutch engagement range, which facilitates control (especially when half-clutch). A new material for the clutch pushrod (now an aluminum shaft with a steel cap) results in a lighter clutch operation.

KX ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Lightweight and designed for the rigors of off-road riding, the ECU includes multiple programmable engine maps to give riders an edge on the racetrack. Using the supplied DFI screw, riders can easily switch between the three engine maps to suit riding conditions. The plug-and-play system is quick, easy, and stress-free. Each of the three maps can be reprogrammed using the optional KX FI Calibration Kit.

KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
Light and Agile
Equipped with a powerful engine, the KX250’s slim chassis offers light and nimble handling. High-quality suspension and brake components, along with sleek, adjustable ergonomics, all contribute to its off-road riding performance.
KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
The KX250’s well-balanced frame contributes to the KX250X’s light weight, smooth handling, and sleek ergonomics.

KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
The high-performance suspension comes directly from the KX250. Spring rates and damping settings optimized for trail riding offer improved feedback, especially when riding aggressively.

KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
The KX250’s cross-country-optimized brake package includes a large-diameter ø270 mm front disc complemented by a ø240 mm rear disc, a KX450-type front master cylinder, and KX250X-specific pads, delivering powerful stopping power and high braking performance.

KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
The slim frame and minimalist bodywork offer a streamlined riding position and facilitate a flat, smooth rider interface.

KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
A choice of four handlebar positions and two footpeg positions allows riders to customize their riding position to suit their body size and preferences. A factory-style 28.6 mm (1-1/8”) Renthal aluminum fat bar is standard. The thick handlebar helps reduce vibration and shock transmitted to the rider and helps position the rider for easy front wheel balance.

KX CHASIS PERFORMANCE
The revised footpeg design is 5mm wider (front-to-back) and positioned 3mm rearward, providing excellent grip, excellent feel, and making it easier to weigh the pegs.

CROSS-COUNTRY COMPONENTS AND TUNING
Optimized Performance
The demands of cross-country courses are very different from those of supercross and motocross tracks. Therefore, in addition to cross-country wheels and tires, the KX250X’s suspension and braking systems have been optimized for cross-country use.

CROSS-COUNTRY COMPONENTS AND TUNING
While the KX250 features F21”/R19” aluminum rims, the KX250X uses an F21”/R18” combination that facilitates power to the ground. Dunlop AT81 enduro tires complement the KX250X’s dedicated rims and are well-suited to the conditions encountered in cross-country riding.

CROSS-COUNTRY COMPONENTS AND TUNING
