ELECTRIC POWER
Change your day
Kawasaki’s first electric road vehicle is powered by a compact brushless electric motor that offers strong off-the-line acceleration and low-end response. Rider-selectable power levels contribute to rider confidence, while unique EV features like e-boost and WALK Mode add to the exhilarating experience. The rider-friendly electric motor is also clean and quiet.
ELECTRIC POWER
With a power output of 5.0 kW (max 9.0 kW), the clean and quiet motor delivers quick response and strong low-end power, facilitating handling and contributing to quick acceleration from a standstill.

ELECTRIC POWER
Powered by an electric motor, the Ninja e-1 produces zero emissions during operation. The motor doesn’t generate as much heat as a gasoline-powered engine. Its quiet, electric operation further contributes to its approachable package.

ELECTRIC POWER
ROAD/ECO Mode
In addition to normal operation (ROAD), drivers can also select limited-speed operation (ECO). The top speed in ROAD mode is 88 km/h, while the top speed in ECO mode is limited to 64 km/h.

ELECTRIC POWER
With e-boost, riders can access increased power for approximately 15 seconds. When activated, acceleration is stronger and the top speed is increased: 64 km/h >> 75 km/h (ECO), 88 km/h >> 105 km/h (ROAD).

ELECTRIC POWER
This convenient mode helps maneuver in parking lots. When activated, opening the throttle will move the bike forward at walking speed. Closing the throttle past the “zero” point will move the bike backward.

DUAL REMOVABLE BATTERIES
Portable and Versatile
Instead of one heavy battery, two removable lithium-ion batteries are used. Each battery weighs 11.5 kg, contributing to portability. The batteries are located under the storage box, mounted in parallel.

DUAL REMOVABLE BATTERIES
The battery can be removed by opening the storage box cover, unlocking and opening the battery cover, and pulling it out.

DUAL REMOVABLE BATTERIES
Multiple charging options
There are three charging options available:
1. Charging directly without the charging dock (battery removed)
2. Charging with the charging dock (battery removed)
3. Charging outside the device* with the battery in place
Charging time per battery is approximately 3.7 hours for a full charge (0% >> 100%), or 1.6 hours for a partial charge (20% >> 85%). (Note: Charging time per battery for a typical charge (20% >> 100%) after use is approximately 3 hours depending on conditions.)

DUAL REMOVABLE BATTERIES
All charging methods require an accessory charger, which can be plugged into a power outlet. When charging with the battery removed, the charger can charge one battery at a time. If a second charger is used, two batteries can be charged simultaneously.

DUAL REMOVABLE BATTERIES
When charging outside the vehicle with the battery installed, an accessory adapter is required (to connect the charger and the motorcycle). The batteries are charged simultaneously, eliminating the need to manually switch from one battery to the next. Fully charging both batteries takes a maximum of 7.4 hours (3.7 hours x2).

DUAL REMOVABLE BATTERIES
Thanks to the regenerative system, when the rider releases the throttle, the deceleration energy is recycled back into the battery. This contributes to a longer cruising range.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
Lightweight and inspires confidence
Although the Ninja e-1 is primarily a commuter model, Kawasaki engineers have worked hard to ensure that the Z e-1 delivers the riding pleasure that Kawasaki motorcycles are known for. Its carefully crafted balance of confident handling and effortless maneuverability will have new riders looking forward to their daily commute.
MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
The Kawasaki Ninja 400-based chassis provides a solid and comfortable ride. Built by a motorcycle manufacturer renowned for its reliability, the Ninja e-1 boasts the same rugged build quality as all Kawasaki motorcycles.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
Weighing in at just 140 kg, the Ninja e-1’s lightweight design contributes to its rider-friendly design.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
A carefully tuned frame with balanced stiffness coupled with optimized suspension components gives the Ninja e-1 light, predictable handling and rider-friendly response.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
Front and rear disc brakes provide confident braking performance, while ABS adds further assurance.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
The relaxed rider triangle accommodates a wide range of rider sizes and riding situations, contributing to its rider-friendly character. The relatively upright riding position and slightly forward footpegs position put the rider in control of the motorcycle while providing comfort.

MOTORCYCLE HANDLING
The lack of a clutch to operate—the rider simply twists the throttle—greatly simplifies operation and contributes to a rider-friendly package.
