Kawasaki’s new compact 249.8cc liquid-cooled DOHC In-Line Four engine is a first in the 250cc class. Built with feedback from other ZX models, the high-performance engine offers the most power in its class and a range that can reach more than 17,000 rpm.

FEEL GOOD POWER

Ninja ZX-25R with In-Line Four engine – the key to the joy felt when riding it – delivers performance that exceeds the capabilities of a 250cc motorcycle, as well as the highest power in its class, namely 35.2 kW {47 PS), making this motorcycle able to deliver very linear power, suitable for riding in the city (low rpm), and rpm can continue to increase beyond the pulling range in the 250cc twin class. Engine performance is very good in the range of 10,000 to more than 17,000 rpm, which is also suitable for sport riding on the track.

The Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) not only provides a natural and smooth engine response, but also facilitates the use of Kawasaki electronic rider support systems such as Traction Control, selectable Power Modes, and a dual-direction Quick Shifter that allow riders to experience a variety of sensations with their machines.

Designed using Kawasaki’s dynamic stiffness analysis, the lightweight trellis frame provides the balance of chassis strength and flexibility needed to achieve the Ninja ZX-25R’s agile, supersport-style handling. The long-arched swingarm provides the necessary balance between stiffness and flexibility, while allowing the damper to be positioned more centrally and contributing to the stylish, sporty look.

The Ninja ZX-25R uses an ø37 mm inverted fork using SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) internals. Combining the Showa SFF and BPF concepts, these two advanced forks provide performance for the racetrack as well as daily motorcycle performance.
The Ninja ZX-25RR has a high-end front fork with adjustable spring preload.
