TECHNOLOGY
ASSIST & SLIPPER CLUCTH

When excessive Engine braking occurs, the Slipper cam comes into play as a result of rapid downshifts (or unintentional downshifts), forcing the clutch hub and plate to operate apart. This reduces pressure on the clutch plate to reduce back-torque and helps prevent rear tire slamming and skidding. This racing feature is very useful when sport riding or riding on the track.
ECONOMICAL RIDING INDOCATOR

When fuel consumption is low at a certain speed and fuel efficiency is high, the ‘ECO’ mark remains on, and fuel consumption can be reduced. Effective vehicle speed and engine speed may vary by type, but paying attention to the conditions that cause the ‘ECO’ mark to appear can help minimize negative impacts on the environment.
ELETRONIC THROTTLE VALVES

Kawasaki’s electronic throttle actuation system allows the ECU to control the volume of fuel (via the fuel injectors) and air (via the throttle valves) delivered to the engine. Ideal fuel injection and throttle valve position result in smooth, natural engine response and ideal engine output. This system also contributes significantly to reduced emissions.
KQS (KAWASAKI QUICK SHIFTER)

Designed to help riders maximize their acceleration on the track with clutchless upshifts, at full throttle, KQS detects that the shift lever has been moved and sends a signal to the ECU to cut the ignition so that the next gear can be engaged without using the clutch. During deceleration the system automatically controls engine speed so that the next downshift can be performed without operating the clutch.
KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control)

KTRC, Kawasaki’s advanced traction control system that enhances sport riding performance and provides service when facing slippery surfaces with confidence. Various modes can be selected by the rider (The number of modes varies depending on the type of motorcycle) according to the rider’s choice and level of disturbance
Power Mode Comparison

Kawasaki types equipped with several Power Modes offer a choice of engine power delivery that can be easily selected to suit conditions or riding choices. In addition to full power mode, there is also a choice of one (Low) or two (Mid-low) where maximum power is limited and throttle response is lighter.
Smartphone Connectivity

Advanced technology that can connect riders with their motorcycles wirelessly. Using the ‘RIDEOLOGY THE APP’ application that can be downloaded via smartphone. Vehicle information can be viewed on the smartphone such as Odometer, Fuel Gauge, Maintenance Schedule, etc. Rider logs can also be viewed through this application.
Horizontal Back-Link Rear Suspension

Kawasaki’s Traditional Uni-Track rear suspension is mounted vertically unlike the Horizontal Back-link rear suspension which has a nearly horizontal shock unit. Kawasaki’s original suspension setup places the shock unit very close to the bike’s center of gravity resulting in mass centralization.
ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System)

Kawasaki ABS system has front and rear wheel sensors to constantly monitor wheel speed. If information from both sensors indicates wheel lock, the ABS ECU directs the pump in the ABS unit to regulate brake fluid pressure (releasing and reapplying pressure to regain traction), ABS Ensures greater riding pleasure.
CLASS-LEADING ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Redefining the 400 cc Supersport Category
Kawasaki takes 400cc engine performance to a new level, achieving an unprecedented 56.7 kW (77 PS) with Ram Air. The roar of the engine at revs above 15,000 rpm adds to the rider’s excitement. The quick-revving nature and immediate throttle response are complemented by a flexible character that offers strong low-to-midrange torque for city riding, as well as high-rpm power ideal for sport or the racetrack.

CLASS-LEADING ENGINE PERFORMANCE
The new 399cc liquid-cooled DOHC In-Line Four engine pushes the boundaries of technology to comfortably sit atop the 400cc class. Developed with knowledge gained from other Ninja ZX models, this high-performance engine offers class-leading power and a rev range that extends beyond 15,000 rpm.

CLASS-LEADING ENGINE PERFORMANCE

CLASS-LEADING ENGINE PERFORMANCE
Increased Power. Distinctive ZX Look.
Complementing the centrally positioned Ram Air intake, the side Ram Air duct, designed with feedback from the Ninja H2, routes air to the air cleaner box and contributes to stellar performance. Its aggressive look and intake sound add to the screaming In-Line Four experience, and visually identify the bike as one of Kawasaki’s Ninja ZX models.

ULTRA-COMPACT NIMBLE SUPERSPORT CHASSIS
Supersport handling, stopping power and driving character
The hallmark of the ZX series is razor-sharp handling with excellent feedback that inspires confidence and the Ninja ZX-4R is no exception. This stems directly from Kawasaki’s WorldSBK racing efforts and their work in developing the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R. As a result, the Ninja ZX-4R offers a similar handling character to its siblings.

ULTRA-COMPACT NIMBLE SUPERSPORT CHASSIS
ULTRA-COMPACT NIMBLE SUPERSPORT CHASSIS
Trellis Frame with Optimized Stiffness Balance
Designed using advanced Kawasaki dynamic analysis, the high-tensile steel trellis frame provides the necessary balance between chassis strength and flexibility to achieve the Ninja ZX-4R’s agile, supersport-style handling.

ULTRA-COMPACT NIMBLE SUPERSPORT CHASSIS
Dual Front Disc Brakes
The Ninja ZX-4R’s dual ø290 mm front brake discs and radial-mount monobloc calipers deliver sure-footed stopping power, while offering exceptional braking feel to inspire confidence on both the track and the street.

ULTRA-COMPACT NIMBLE SUPERSPORT CHASSIS
The Ninja ZX-4R’s ø37 mm inverted forks use SFF-BP internals to deliver both track performance and everyday usability while the Horizontal Back-link rear suspension offers a progressive character. The Ninja ZX-4RR’s front forks feature adjustable spring preload, and it’s equipped with a Showa BFRC lite rear shock—the same type seen on the Ninja ZX-10R.

ULTRA-COMPACT NIMBLE SUPERSPORT CHASSIS
A naturally aggressive riding position (more forward than the Ninja 400, but still slightly relaxed) allows the rider to make the most of the Ninja ZX-4R’s nimble handling. The fuel tank feels slim, promoting good contact with the bike, while the firm seat cushion shape facilitates rider weight transfer during sport riding and is comfortable for longer rides.
