TECHNOLOGY
ASSIST & SLIPPER CLUCTH

When excessive Engine braking occurs, the Slipper cam comes into play as a result of rapid downshifts (or unintentional downshifts), forcing the clutch hub and plate to operate apart. This reduces pressure on the clutch plate to reduce back-torque and helps prevent rear tire slamming and skidding. This racing feature is very useful when sport riding or riding on the track.
ECONOMICAL RIDING INDOCATOR

When fuel consumption is low at a certain speed and fuel efficiency is high, the ‘ECO’ mark remains on, and fuel consumption can be reduced. Effective vehicle speed and engine speed may vary by type, but paying attention to the conditions that cause the ‘ECO’ mark to appear can help minimize negative impacts on the environment.
ELETRONIC THROTTLE VALVES

Kawasaki’s electronic throttle actuation system allows the ECU to control the volume of fuel (via the fuel injectors) and air (via the throttle valves) delivered to the engine. Ideal fuel injection and throttle valve position result in smooth, natural engine response and ideal engine output. This system also contributes significantly to reduced emissions.
KQS (KAWASAKI QUICK SHIFTER)

Designed to help riders maximize their acceleration on the track with clutchless upshifts, at full throttle, KQS detects that the shift lever has been moved and sends a signal to the ECU to cut the ignition so that the next gear can be engaged without using the clutch. During deceleration the system automatically controls engine speed so that the next downshift can be performed without operating the clutch.
KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control)

KTRC, Kawasaki’s advanced traction control system that enhances sport riding performance and provides service when facing slippery surfaces with confidence. Various modes can be selected by the rider (The number of modes varies depending on the type of motorcycle) according to the rider’s choice and level of disturbance
Power Mode Comparison

Kawasaki types equipped with several Power Modes offer a choice of engine power delivery that can be easily selected to suit conditions or riding choices. In addition to full power mode, there is also a choice of one (Low) or two (Mid-low) where maximum power is limited and throttle response is lighter.
Smartphone Connectivity

Advanced technology that can connect riders with their motorcycles wirelessly. Using the ‘RIDEOLOGY THE APP’ application that can be downloaded via smartphone. Vehicle information can be viewed on the smartphone such as Odometer, Fuel Gauge, Maintenance Schedule, etc. Rider logs can also be viewed through this application.
Horizontal Back-Link Rear Suspension

Kawasaki’s Traditional Uni-Track rear suspension is mounted vertically unlike the Horizontal Back-link rear suspension which has a nearly horizontal shock unit. Kawasaki’s original suspension setup places the shock unit very close to the bike’s center of gravity resulting in mass centralization.
ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System)

Kawasaki ABS system has front and rear wheel sensors to constantly monitor wheel speed. If information from both sensors indicates wheel lock, the ABS ECU directs the pump in the ABS unit to regulate brake fluid pressure (releasing and reapplying pressure to regain traction), ABS Ensures greater riding pleasure.
KIBS (Kawasaki Intelegence Anti-lock brake system)

Kawasaki developed KIBS to take into account the special handling characteristics of supersport motorcycles, ensuring highly efficient braking with minimal intuition during sport riding. It is the first mass-produced braking system to link the ABS ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and the Engine ECU.
