TECHNOLOGY
ASSIST & SLIPPER CLUCTH

When excessive Engine braking occurs, the Slipper cam comes into play as a result of rapid downshifts (or unintentional downshifts), forcing the clutch hub and plate to operate apart. This reduces pressure on the clutch plate to reduce back-torque and helps prevent rear tire slamming and skidding. This racing feature is very useful when sport riding or riding on the track.
ECONOMICAL RIDING INDICATOR

When fuel consumption is low at a certain speed and fuel efficiency is high, the ‘ECO’ mark remains on, and fuel consumption can be reduced. Effective vehicle speed and engine speed may vary by type, but paying attention to the conditions that cause the ‘ECO’ mark to appear can help minimize negative impacts on the environment.
ELETRONIC THROTTLE VALVES

Kawasaki’s electronic throttle actuation system allows the ECU to control the volume of fuel (via the fuel injectors) and air (via the throttle valves) delivered to the engine. Ideal fuel injection and throttle valve position result in smooth, natural engine response and ideal engine output. This system also contributes significantly to reduced emissions.
ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System)

Kawasaki ABS system has front and rear wheel sensors to constantly monitor wheel speed. If information from both sensors indicates wheel lock, the ABS ECU directs the pump in the ABS unit to regulate brake fluid pressure (releasing and reapplying pressure to regain traction), ABS Ensures greater riding pleasure.
Ergo-Fit

Electronic Cruise Control Allows the desired speed (Engine RPM) to be maintained by pressing a single button. Once activated, the rider does not have to keep pulling the throttle. This reduces the pressure on the right hand when traveling long distances, making the ride more relaxed and comfortable.

FUN PACKAGE ON WINDING ROADS
Highly versatile. Maximum riding excitement.
Offering a unique package consisting of long-travel suspension & sporty 17” wheels, a sleek, upright riding position, and a compact Parallel-Twin engine tuned for low-mid range torque, the Versys 650 is designed to maximize rider enjoyment on the road – especially when the going gets twisty. The addition of rider-assistive technologies such as KTRC contributes to a high level of rider confidence in a variety of on-road riding situations.
FUN PACKAGE ON WINDING ROADS
Optimized for satisfying response in everyday riding situations, the exciting 649 cc Parallel Twin engine offers smooth, linear response, strong low-mid range torque and good fuel economy.

FUN PACKAGE ON WINDING ROADS
Not all real-world roads are made of smooth pavement. Road imperfections (bumps, potholes) are far from uncommon, and some roads are not even paved (such as cobblestones, etc.). While the Versys 650 is not designed for off-road use, its long-travel front fork and rear shock are specifically selected to handle a wide range of road conditions, and, together with its 17” wheels, allow for a sporty ride. Furthermore, the long-travel suspension adds an added dimension of controllability: the ability to consciously control the bike’s front-to-rear weight transfer gives the rider an additional riding element to explore.

FUN PACKAGE ON WINDING ROADS
A slim, upright position and wide handlebars offer a naturally relaxed posture and great control.

FUN PACKAGE ON WINDING ROADS
Kawasaki’s advanced traction control system delivers enhanced sport riding performance and peace of mind in certain conditions to negotiate low-traction surfaces with confidence. Two modes allow the rider to adjust settings to suit the riding situation and rider preference.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
Capable adventure partner
Complementing updates to the top cover and windscreen that offer increased wind protection for better rider comfort on longer rides, the new 4.3” full-color instrumentation with smartphone connectivity allows riders to connect with their machine like never before, adding to the richer motorcycling lifestyle.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
Together with the redesigned top cover, the new windscreen offers improved wind protection, contributing to greater rider comfort and adding to the Versys 650’s potential as a reliable touring partner. The total windscreen adjustment range is approximately 80 mm, with the four positions spaced at 27 mm intervals. The four positions can be easily adjusted from the rider’s seat. Designed in a wind tunnel, the large accessory windscreen (100 mm higher) offers excellent wind protection.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
Complementing the accessory DC outlet, the new accessory USB outlet features a double cover for high water resistance. Both power sources can be built into the cockpit interior cover, where they will be ideally positioned for charging accessories or personal items.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
A 210 kg payload is sufficient for carrying a passenger and luggage. The Versys 650 can accommodate a top case and panniers together. The accessory panniers (28 liters each, max 5 kg) can accommodate a full-face helmet. The Kawasaki-designed original accessory top case weighs 5 kg, and with its 47-liter volume is large enough to fit two full-face helmets.

COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
LED Fog Lamps offer a significant improvement in lighting. A smoked windscreen (available in standard and tall sizes) adds to the sporty image of the bike. Revised gloves offer improved wind protection, which means increased comfort when riding in cold weather – especially when combined with the accessory grip heaters (now with integrated ON/OFF switch). In addition to the 47-liter accessory top case, a 42-liter (5 kg max) top case is also available, offering increased utility.

EMOTIONAL DESIGN
The powerful appearance of the Versys family
Like the Versys 1000, the new Versys 650 features an emotional design to engage riders. The much more fluid styling features a clear line of color that can be traced from the front of the bike to the rear. The balanced use of color and materials emphasizes the functional beauty of the bike’s individual parts and bodywork that is shaped with rider comfort in mind.
EMOTIONAL DESIGN
Inspired by the Versys 1000, the updated design of the upper cowl and surrounding bodywork gives the Versys 650 the “face” of the latest Versys family and conveys Kawasaki’s strong identity.

EMOTIONAL DESIGN
Complementing the LED taillight, the new LED headlight adds symmetry to the Versys 650’s “face”. LED turn signals add a modern touch, contributing to the bike’s attractive appearance.
