SUGOMI DESIGN CONCEPT

The Sugomi Aura can be seen from the predator who is ready to pounce on his prey, his eyes focused, his body crouched down, muscles ready in anticipation. He is so concentrated on the situation that the energy he is gathering in preparation to attack becomes clearly visible, visible to those around him. The design of the Z1000 sugomi is taken from the intense gaze of a predator that radiates with the action of being ready to pounce.

Condensed, Dynamic Form
The Z1000’s sugomi design carries over the crouching concept from the 2010-2013 model year onwards. The headlamp cowl, positioned as low as possible, extends the lines that flow down from the top of the tank to create the impression of a muscular predator’s shoulders crouching and head-down. The bodywork is perfectly matched to the engine and frame, reinforcing the condensed dynamic form. Mass is concentrated at the front. The dichotomy creates a dynamic design, with all lines drawn forward.

SUGOMI DESIGN

Intense Glare
The Z1000’s sugomi design is most evident on its face. With the headlamp positioned as low as possible, it gives the impression of a predator preparing to pounce very strongly. The lines of wrinkles on the cover above the headlamp further emphasize this fierce look. The LED headlamp unit uses a reflector without a cover that is designed to appear dark when not in use. When the ignition is off, the face shows a very different intensity.
